Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has declared 2021 as “The Year of Sports & Well-Being”. Sports and Civil Amenities Department is promoting basketball as a means of educating children about discipline, competition, self-confidence, and sportsmanship. Boys between the ages of 12 and 16 are being considered for the 2nd phase of the SAIL DAY BOARDING BASKETBALL CENTER. A number of displaced groups have united and asked the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) to return unused land and other demands. JMM working president Hemant Soren has instructed his party to support the displaced, said a leader. On August 26, the district’s JMM leaders and displaced groups will stage a Janakrosh Maharally at Majdoor Ground against Bokaro Steel Plant. Former legislature of Chandankyari, Umakant Rajak of AJSU, former Bermo MLA, Yogeshwar Batul, JMM city president, Mantu Yadav, BJP leader Rohit lal Singh, displaced leader Sadhu Saran Gope are among those leaders leading the agitation.
