Bokaro: In a poignant tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, students organised a special assembly at ‘The Pentecostal Assembly School.’ The solemn occasion marked Shaheed Diwas, commemorating the tragic assassination of Gandhiji on January 30, 1948, by Nathuram Godse, a year after India gained independence.

The murder sent shockwaves across the nation, prompting the annual observance of Shaheed Diwas on January 30. The primary objective of this day is to reflect on Gandhiji’s altruistic service and sacrifice, urging Indians to emulate his principles.
The assembly conveyed a crucial message to the present generation, emphasising the contemporary relevance of Gandhian values. The students, in a well-rounded program, delivered speeches, presented a thought-provoking PowerPoint presentation, and showcased a poignant dance dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The entire school observed two minutes of silence as a mark of respect.
Karuna Prasad, the school’s Principal, lauded the students’ presentations and encouraged them to draw inspiration from the exemplary life of Mahatma Gandhi.
