Bokaro: Carrying forward its motto of spreading smiles, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro on Friday witnessed a large-scale scholarship examination organised by its alumni group, Chinmaya Smiles Back, under the Pratibha Poshan Yojana. The initiative aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections.

A total of 674 students from 150 government and private schools across the district appeared for the exam. Class-wise participation included 156 students from Class 7, 166 from Class 8, 190 from Class 9 and 162 from Class 10. Sanjeev Kumar, PRO of Chinmaya Vidyalaya said “50 students will be selected for scholarships, which will be awarded without any fee. The financial assistance ranges from Rs 5,200 to Rs 8,200, depending on the class.”
The Alumni of Chinmaya Vidyalaya continued their contribution towards social upliftment. Such efforts help talented students overcome financial barriers. Alumni representative Amrita Pritam said the programme aims to bring smiles to deserving students by ensuring opportunities are not lost due to economic constraints.
