Bokaro: Two special booths for Covid-19 vaccination were installed exclusively for women senior citizens at Vaccination Centre of Sadar Hospital here on Monday to mark International Women’s Day here. The vaccination centre was beautifully decorated on a pink theme to give a pleasant feel to the women visitors.
Start from the main entrance to the selfie points all were decorated with balloons. An officer said, “apart from decoration, all the staff at the ‘Women Special Booths’ were women. We gave grand welcome to the women visitors who arrived for the vaccination today”.
Fortunately, the day registered the highest number of women beneficiaries got inoculated on a single day at Sadar Hospital. Of the 990 residents who got the vaccination on the day, 348 were woman residents, as per the records of the district health department.
A resident Chandrakala Devi (65) said, “I am very happy receiving such a warm welcome at the Vaccination Centre. The ambience was very good and there was special treatment for the women. I felt honoured taking vaccination on International Women Day”.
