Bokaro: In a spiritual spectacle that spanned from September 10 to 15th, the annual festival at the Sree Ayyappa Temple in Sector-5 concluded with immense fervour and devotion. Devotees from far and wide gathered at this sacred place to participate in the celestial festivities.
The highlight of the festival was the recitation of Srimad Bhagwat Katha by esteemed priests (Thantri) from Sabrimala, Kerala. The ambiance was charged with spiritual energy as the priests delved into the divine scriptures, enriching the souls of those in attendance.
The festival commenced with the ceremonious hoisting of the temple flag, signalling the start of the week-long celebration of faith and devotion. Throughout the annual Mahotsav, the temple resonated with prayers offered in the presence of the revered Kerala priests.
Devotees, with unwavering faith in their hearts, circumambulated the temple while melodious hymns and chants dedicated to Lord Sree Ayyappa filled the air. The atmosphere was a harmonious blend of devotion and celebration, as people immersed themselves in the divine presence.
Worshipers had the opportunity to participate in rituals led by the priests, who emphasised the blessings that God bestows upon his devotees. They stressed the importance of worship in attaining happiness and inner peace, encouraging all attendees to engage in heartfelt devotion, said Dr Suresh Babu a devotee who reside in Sector 3.
As part of the festivities, special aartis were performed, adding an extra layer of spiritual sanctity to the occasion. Bhajans resounded, uplifting the spirits of all present, while a communal feast provided nourishment for the body and soul. The temple itself was adorned with vibrant, colored electric bulbs, casting a radiant glow that illuminated the entire area, transforming it into a milky sea of light.
The event saw the gracious presence of Sree Ayyappa Seva Sangham Chairman P Rajagopalan, General Secretary E Sushilan and a gathering of devoted attendees. This annual festival not only served as a celebration of faith but also as a reminder of the profound spiritual connection shared by the community with Lord Shri Ayyappa.
