Bokaro: Senior Congress leader and former MP Dadai Dubey passed away on Thursday at Delhi’s Sir Gangaram Hospital. He was 80 and had been ailing for the past several days. Originally from Choka village in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district, Dubey was one of the most seasoned political figures in the state.
Six-Time MLA and Former MP
Dadai Dubey was elected six times as MLA from Bishrampur in Palamu and once as an MP from Dhanbad. He also served as Labour Minister in both undivided Bihar and Jharkhand under Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Champion of the Poor and Labour Class
Dubey was regarded as a fierce leader who consistently advocated for the rights of workers and the underprivileged. His passing has left a deep void in state politics.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Congress state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, former state president Rajesh Thakur, and former minister Mithilesh Thakur were among the many leaders who paid heartfelt tributes. The Congress party has termed his demise as an “irreparable loss.”
