Bokaro: While staying at his sister’s house in Bokaro, during the corona period, Divyansh Shukla prepared for the UPSC examination and scored an All India Rank (AIR) 153. Shukla was lucky enough to have aced the country’s most prestigious exam preparing at Bokaro. His sister Ritika Shukla works at the Revenue Department of Town and Administration in Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL).
By hard work and dedication, Shukla was able to succeed in his second attempt. His matriculation was from Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Gorakhpur in 2012, and his ISC was from the same school in 2014. He completed his Civil Engineering degree from IIT BHU in 2018. He was hired as an engineer of CCL, Barka Sayal in the Ramgarh district in the same year. While working, he continued to prepare for the civil service examination. He failed to pass the Mains examination on his first attempt. His success in the examination came mostly from self-study on the second attempt.
Subhash Chandra Shukla, Divyansh’s father, is vice principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Air Force Gorakhpur. His mother Kiran Shukla is a housewife. His brother-in-law Shailendra Bhushan Tiwari is working as Executive Engineer in Electricity Department Dhanbad. Both his sister and brother in-law were encouraging. Whenever Divyansh got leave, he used to come to his sister’s house in Sector 4 F of Bokaro Township. Stayed here and prepare for the Civil Services examination. “He Didn’t take any coaching,” said his Brother-in-law.
Divyansh said that the goal was to become an IPS. After coming from duty, he used to study the books related to the examination. There were some problems in the first year. He used to study for eight to ten hours, but later he used to prepare for the examination for four-five hours. Got the efficient guidance of his sister and brother-in-law he scored in UPSC. He wants to serve the country and society.
