Bokaro: Be it anything we do, quality is essential. SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant celebrated ‘World Quality Day’ on Thursday. This day is dedicated to raising quality awareness and supporting economic prosperity for individuals and organizations around the world through the adoption of high-quality standards.
On the occasion of World Quality Day, executive director (works) Atanu Bhowmik administered an oath of quality to the employees of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). The employees were informed of BSL’s commitment to sustainable development and proper management of climate change.
R Kuswaha, another Executive Director, unfurled the Quality Flag here. Executive director (Material Management) VK Pandey, executive director (Personnel and Administration) Sameer Swarup and other officials attended the event. As part of the program organized at Bokaro General Hospital, Dr. Shravan Kumar administered the oath of quality to the health workers.
Every year, World Quality Day is observed on the second Thursday of November. Today marks the day this year. It is a day to bring attention to the importance of quality management in our lives.
The theme for World Quality Day, this year, is “Sustainability: Improving Our Products, People, and Planet”. World Quality Day was founded in 1919 by the Chartered Quality Institute {CQI}, which is a professional organisation that is located in London.
