Bokaro: Vedanta group company ESL Steel Limited hosted an Open Drawing Competition on the campus of PSM School, Siyaljori under Chandankyari Block of the district. The competition was organized as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) to give students the opportunity to show off their hidden talents. The event was organized by ESL CSR under the Education Project, “PRERNA”.
The competition was organized under 3 categories with 340 children from the district. “There were 340 participants who were divided into 3 groups: Batch-A was for students in classes 2 to 4, Batch-B was for students in classes 5 to 8, and Batch-C was for students in classes 9 to 12,” said Vanshika Rakesh, a public relation officer.
On Wednesday, a prize distribution ceremony was held. Ashok Kumar and Mukhi Chaudhary of Sangeet Kala Academy gave prizes to the winners. Manoj Tiwari, Mukhiya Chandaha, Sitaram Mahato, Ex-Mukhiya Siyaljori, Babloo Mahato, Principal – PSM School Siyaljori, Harradhan Mahato, Trustee – PSM school, Gora chand Mahato, Teacher – PSM School, Team ESL CSR, Team Sarthak, Parents of the participants and local villagers has taken part in the event.
