2nd National Conference 2023: Spotlight on Engineering, Science, and Management trends


Bokaro: The Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus Engineering and Management College in Bokaro witnessed the grand inauguration of the 2nd National Conference on ‘Recent Trends in Engineering, Science, and Management 2023’. The event took place at the prestigious Guru Teg Bahadur Auditorium of the college and featured a distinguished lineup of guests.

The chief guest of the event was the Vice Chancellor of Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi, Dr. D.K. Singh. Joining him as a special guest was A.K. Singh, IAS, Special Secretary of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Jharkhand. The event also welcomed other notable guests, including Neelima Sharma, CDO of E.S.L. Vedanta, Sudhir Kumar Kashyap of Simfer Dhanbad, and Madan Mohan Mahato, Principal of Government Polytechnic Khuntri.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome for the Vice Chancellor by the school band of GGPS Chas, setting the tone for the day. The guests were honored with shawls, mementos, and bouquets, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. The students of GGPS Sector 5 then treated the audience to a mesmerising welcome song and dance performance. Subsequently, the esteemed guests unveiled the ‘Book of Proceedings’ of the conference.

Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, College Director and Conference Convenor, provided insights into the National Conference during the welcome address. Mr. Tarsem Singh, Institute President and Chief Patron of the conference, offered an overview of the college in his speech. The Vice Chancellor delved into the conference’s theme, Industry 5.0, praising the vision of Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar and his team for selecting such an important topic.

In his speech, Institute Secretary Surendra Pal Singh shed light on the society’s and the college’s contributions to the field. The stage also saw the presence of Management member Hardeep Singh and Principal of GGPS Somen Chakraborty.

The first technical session of the conference commenced in the college’s seminar hall, featuring participants from various corners of the country presenting their research papers. The conference boasts a total of 34 research papers from different states, including Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Orissa, and Maharashtra. One participant even joined from Switzerland.

Three outstanding research papers will receive awards as part of the conference.  The 2nd National Conference on Recent Trends in Engineering, Science, and Management 2023 promises to be an informative and enriching experience for all attendees as it explores the dynamic field of Industry 5.0 and fosters knowledge exchange and collaboration among experts from various regions.
