Bokaro: The opening of the Five-Day Inter Steel Plants Football Championship marked the beginning of an exciting tournament at Mohan Kumar Mangalam Stadium for the 2023-24 season.

Executive Director (Mines) Joydeep Dasgupta graced the inaugural session as the chief guest, accompanied by Mohanlal Observer from the Steel Plants Sports Board (SPSB), NA Saifi, General Manager (L&A), AK Avinash, and other esteemed dignitaries from the township.
A total of 08 teams have enthusiastically participated in the Inter Steel Plants Football Championship, promising intense competition throughout the five-day event. The championship structure includes league matches and knockouts, leading up to the final football match scheduled for February 10.
In today’s league matches, ISP Burnpur, Rourkela Steel Plant, Tata Steel, and Durgapur Steel Plant emerged victorious, showcasing their prowess on the field.
The championship not only fosters camaraderie among the participating teams but also highlights the talent and passion for football within the steel plant community. With matches set to unfold over the next few days, spectators can anticipate thrilling encounters and spirited performances from the competing teams.
