Bokaro: Showcasing his musical talent, Mayank Kumar Bhakta, a music teacher at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro, has been awarded ‘Bharatiya Gaurav Samman’ by Uttar Pradesh based organization, The Fair Vision Foundation for his philanthropic efforts. He is the only recipient from Jharkhand in this category, making it a matter of pride for the entire state.
This accolade was bestowed upon him for his impactful teaching of tabla to students including visually impaired children. He has also been acknowledged for his exceptional proficiency in teaching Indian classical music, imparting knowledge with dedication and expertise, fostering a legacy of musical excellence and cultural preservation.
Dr. A.S. Gangwar, Principal DPS Bokaro, expressed immense happiness over Mayank’s achievement, calling it a proud moment for both the school and the state. He extended his best wishes to Mayank, encouraging him to continue his outstanding work in the future.
It is worth mentioning that Mayank was recently honoured with the Vishwaratna Samman 2024 as well. Over the years, he has been recognized with several national-level awards, including National Talent Hunt Winner Award, Teacher Innovation Award, ‘Rashtriya Pratishtha Samman’, Youth Festival Gold Award, Swar Sangam Award, Doordarshan-Akashvani Award etc. With nearly a decade of experience in teaching tabla, Mayank expressed his gratitude to Principal Dr. Gangwar and the entire DPS Bokaro family for their unwavering support and guidance.
