Heartfelt Feast and Devotional Joy: All India Malayali Association’s grand gesture at Old Age Home


Bokaro: The All India Malayali Association organised a heartwarming program at the Old Age Home, situated near Solgadih Pond at Jodadih Moad in Chas area. This initiative aimed to bring cheer and provide a special meal to the elderly residents of the ashram. Approximately 20 elderly men and women were served a nourishing lunch, reflecting the association’s commitment to social welfare.

The event saw the presence of several esteemed members from the association’s committee. Among them were Vasudevan Namboodri, Shashi Karat, Tulsi Dharan, Pawan Asha, Binu Shivdas, Madhur, Shubha, Sreeja, and Unnikrishnan Saroj. Their involvement underscored the significance of the occasion and their dedication to the well-being of the elderly community.

Health and Engagement Activities 

In addition to providing a meal, the committee members took the opportunity to engage with the residents on a personal level. They inquired about their health and well-being, demonstrating genuine concern for their quality of life.

Shahsi Karat said “the afternoon included a bhajan session, where the committee members and residents came together to sing devotional songs. This cultural engagement not only uplifted the spirits of the elderly but also strengthened the bonds between them and the visiting committee members.”
