Bokaro: On the fourth Monday of Sawan, D Focus, a media house, marked the 21st anniversary of its Seva Camp at the Jail Gate turn in Chas. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Irfan Ansari, Jharkhand’s Minister for Rural Development, who served as the chief guest. This significant occasion saw a large turnout of dignitaries and well-wishers, highlighting the camp’s enduring impact over two decades.
Minister Irfan Ansari’s Address
During his address, Minister Irfan Ansari praised the Seva Camp’s embodiment of the Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb, a cultural ethos symbolising unity and harmony. He commended D Focus for its commitment to this principle and expressed his gratitude for being honored as the chief guest on such a sacred occasion. His remarks underscored the camp’s role in promoting social cohesion and cultural values in Jharkhand.
Warm Welcome and Medical Services
D Focus Director Gajendra Prasad Himanshu welcomed Minister Ansari with a ceremonial silver crown, adding a touch of tradition and respect. The Seva Camp also featured a medical camp organised by RNB Hospital to provide essential health services to Kanwarias. This initiative ensured that attendees received the necessary medical attention, reflecting the camp’s dedication to community welfare.
Cultural and Spiritual Highlights
The event showcased a poignant and spiritually enriching tableau dedicated to Lord Bholenath. This emotional portrayal added a significant cultural dimension to the camp, drawing praise from attendees for its depth and reverence. The tableau was a testament to the camp’s focus on blending spiritual and community service.

The Seva Camp was attended by numerous prominent figures, including Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Rajesh Thakur, Gomia MLA Lambodar Mahato, Chairman of the Jharkhand Backward Classes Commission Yogendra Prasad Mahato, and several other esteemed individuals. Also present were former Vice President of Bokaro District 20-Point Programme Laxman Nayak, Chairman of Chas Block 20-Point Committee Mahavir Singh Choudhary, Congress leader Shweta Singh, Chas Sub-Divisional Officer Om Prakash Gupta, City DSP, Chas Police Station Incharge, and Pindrajora Police Station Incharge, along with hundreds of social workers and eminent personalities.
