Bokaro: Darshana Kopal, an alumna of DPS Bokaro not only made her alma mater proud but also Jharkhand and the nation proud on the global stage by cracking and securing admission to the prestigious Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
She has been enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology program in Computer Science and Design for the academic session 2024-2028. Darshana, a former student of the session 2023-24 was selected for SUTD based on her stellar performance in the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). She achieved a perfect score of 800 in Mathematics in SAT and scored 7.5 in the IELTS.
Following rigorous assessments, including reading, writing, listening, online tests, coding tests, and interviews, she qualified in all the criteria with flying colours. The Singapore Government awarded her with a scholarship based on her academic profile, performance in the SUTD entrance test and her interview. She received offers from top universities in Australia, the UK, and Singapore, but she opted for SUTD, Singapore.
Overjoyed by her career milestone, Darshana emphasised that DPS Bokaro has played the most significant role in shaping her for this success.
The entire DPS Bokaro fraternity is elated by this achievement. Principal, Dr. A. S. Gangwar congratulated her on her stupendous performance and wished her a bright future. He remarked that DPS Bokaro makes every effort to ensure the holistic development of its students and provides them with ample opportunities to pursue careers in their areas of interest.
