Bokaro to Host 23rd Jharkhand PEDICON 2024: Revolutionising pediatric care with cutting-edge innovations


Bokaro: The district is all set to host the 23rd Jharkhand State PEDICON 2024, organised by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Bokaro Unit. The conference will take place from October 25 to 27, 2024, and will kick off with two workshops on October 25 at Hotel Sterling and Hans Mandap.

Workshops to Address Critical Pediatric Care Areas

The upcoming workshops at the 23rd Jharkhand State PEDICON 2024 will emphasise crucial aspects of pediatric healthcare. One of the key topics will be Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), a vital technique used in treating respiratory distress in infants without the need for invasive procedures. Additionally, the workshops will focus on the screening and follow-up care of high-risk newborns, ensuring early detection and timely intervention for vulnerable infants. Main Conference Slated for October 26-27 at Hans Palace

The main PEDICON conference will be held at Hans Palace, Sector 1, Bokaro Steel City, on October 26 and 27. The event will see participation from over 300 doctors, including renowned pediatricians from within Jharkhand and across India. The IAP President for 2023 and the Vice President of the IAP East Zone are also expected to attend, making this a key event for pediatric healthcare professionals.

Dr. L.K. Thakur, Secretary of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Bokaro District Branch, underscored the importance of showcasing the scientific sessions at the 23rd Jharkhand State PEDICON 2024. He believes that highlighting these sessions is crucial for spreading awareness about the latest advancements in pediatric healthcare.
