Join the Fight Against Corruption: Bokaro Steel Plant kicks off vigilance awareness week


Bokaro: The Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) is celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024. This year’s theme focuses on “Prosperity of Nation through Culture of Integrity.” The week began with a ceremonial tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, followed by an oath of integrity administered by Director-in-Charge Birendra Kumar Tiwari.

Celebrating Integrity and Awareness 
From October 28 to November 3, 2024, the Vigilance Awareness Week is being celebrated with a focus on promoting integrity and accountability within the community. The inaugural ceremony was held at Steel Bhawan of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) on October 28, led by Director-in-Charge Birendra Kumar Tiwari. The event featured several senior executives, including Executive Directors from various departments, who gathered to mark this important occasion.

Floral Tribute and Oath of Integrity 
The festivities began with a heartfelt floral tribute to Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, recognising his contributions to the nation. Following this, Birendra Kumar Tiwari administered an oath of integrity to all attendees, reinforcing the commitment to ethical practices in their professional lives. Gyanesh Jha, Chief General Manager (Vigilance) & ACVO, shared insights on the various programs being organized under the Vigilance Department, emphasising the theme, “Prosperity of Nation through Culture of Integrity.”

Messages from National Leaders 
The event included readings of messages from esteemed national leaders, including the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh, alongside a message from the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). A vibrant “Street Play” performed by students of DAV Ispat Public School highlighted the importance of eradicating corruption from society, making the message resonate with the audience.

Emphasising Professional Ethics
In his address, Director-in-Charge Birendra Kumar Tiwari urged everyone to embrace values of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in their work.
