Bokaro: With the vision of nurturing leadership qualities among young minds, the Primary Wing of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro organised its annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025-26 on Friday. The event aimed at empowering students by entrusting them with leadership roles and responsibilities.
The ceremony began with a symbolic sapling presentation to Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar, underscoring the school’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The welcome song and the school anthem created a vibrant atmosphere, followed by a mesmerising dandiya folk dance performance.
The highlight of the event was the formal induction of the newly formed Student Council. Shanvi Somani and Reyansh Singh of Class V were appointed Head Girl and Head Boy respectively. Anshika Anand and Anshrith Nandan of Class IV were named Vice Head Girl and Vice Head Boy. Other key appointees included Shristi Verma (Cultural Secretary), Ayush Kumar (Literary Secretary), and Akshat Raj (Sports Secretary). House Captains, Vice Captains, and Prefects were also announced.
In a solemn oath-taking ceremony, the council pledged to uphold the school motto, “Service Before Self.” Dr. Gangwar congratulated the students, emphasising the role of such platforms in shaping future leaders. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
