Bokaro: DPS Bokaro celebrated Children’s Day with Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar inaugurating a state-of-the-art podcast studio ‘DIPS Vartalap’ and the new Abhinav Bindra Shooting Range. The initiatives aim to boost digital learning, communication skills, and sports excellence among students. Priya Ranjan, Executive Director Works, Bokaro Steel Plant, was also present on the occasion.

A New Digital Era Begins at DPS Bokaro
Marking Children’s Day with a major educational enhancement, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar inaugurated an advanced podcast studio titled ‘DIPS Vartalap’ at DPS Bokaro. Designed to match the needs of the digital age, the studio aims to provide students with a modern platform to sharpen their communication skills and explore creative audio learning. This unique initiative—first of its kind in any school across the district—will also benefit students from other institutions, offering them opportunities for talent development and skill advancement. The governor emphasised that integrating audio-based learning with traditional methods will boost students’ expression, creativity, and communication abilities.
Governor Also Unveils Abhinav Bindra Shooting Range
In another major step towards holistic education, Governor Gangwar also inaugurated the ‘Abhinav Bindra Shooting Range’ during DPS Bokaro’s annual event Nakshatra. Named after India’s Olympic gold medallist, the cutting-edge facility aims to nurture aspiring shooters and strengthen students’ physical and mental discipline. School Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar said the range will not only train students in marksmanship but also instil focus, discipline, and goal-oriented thinking. He added that the facility will open pathways for students interested in pursuing shooting as a professional sport.
