Bokaro: The Pentecostal Assembly School (PAS), Bokaro Steel City, organised a seven-day educational tour to Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad from January 7 to 13, underscoring its focus on holistic student development. The tour brought together 22 students from Classes VI to IX, accompanied by two escort teachers, under the leadership of the school’s Executive Director, Daniel Michael Prasad.
In Visakhapatnam, students visited prominent landmarks such as the Glass Bridge, Simhachalam Temple, Rushikonda and Bheemili beaches, and Dolphin’s Nose. Visits to museums offered insights into history, science and maritime heritage. A highlight was a rare guided tour of the Indian Navy base, including INS Satavahana, where students observed submarine training and safety drills.
The Hyderabad leg included visits to Charminar, Salar Jung Museum and Golconda Fort, followed by an exposure trip to Ramoji Film City. The tour concluded with a visit to the Indian Air Force base, where students interacted with officers and viewed aircraft up close. Principal Dr. Karuna Prasad said such initiatives foster confidence, curiosity and patriotism through experiential learning beyond classrooms.
