Bokaro: In a significant event held as part of the ‘Entrepreneurship IC501 Fifth-Semester Class’ organised by Guru Gobind Singh Educational Societies Technical Campus, over 850 students were enlightened by the virtual presence of Sabir Bhatia, the renowned founder of Hotmail. The event, conducted under the aegis of Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), was attended by 600 students online and 250 students offline. Bhatia joined the session virtually from the United States, delivering a valuable lecture that benefited the students greatly.
Prominent Guests Praise the Program
The chief guest of the session was Dr. D.K. Singh, Honorable Vice Chancellor of JUT Ranchi, while the special guest was Engineer Ramesh Yadav from the U.S. In his address, Dr. Singh lauded the efforts of Guru Gobind Singh Educational Societies Technical Campus for organizing such an insightful session. He also expressed his gratitude to Sabir Bhatia for taking the time to share his entrepreneurial journey and vision with the students. Bhatia’s contribution to the program was highly appreciated.
Q&A Session Sheds Light on Start-up Challenges
During the interactive Q&A session, students had the opportunity to pose questions to Bhatia regarding the challenges and failures faced in start-ups. In response, Bhatia highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern entrepreneurship, emphasising how it opens new opportunities and provides technical assistance in solving various business problems. His insights into AI and start-ups inspired the students to explore innovative solutions for their ventures.
Encouraging Innovation and Economic Independence
College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship for India’s economic independence, urging students to foster innovation and pursue new start-up ideas. Prof. Rashmi Thakur expressed her gratitude to all participants, and the program concluded with the national anthem. Key contributors to the event included Prof. Mahmood Alam and Prof. Kritika Chaudhary.
