Bokaro: An Ashirwad Utsav was held on Saturday at Sree Ayyappa Public School for Class XII students. The teachers of class 12th performed a special puja at the Sree Ayyappa temple, wishing the children success in the future. Class teachers put on tika and gave out prasad to the children. Teachers blessed the students for board exams.
A welcome song and motivating songs were performed by children from classes 8 to 11 under the guidance of their music teachers. Solo songs were also performed along with classical dances and folk dances. Each child was blessed with a rosebud, a memento, and a pen by the school’s director S.S. Mahapatra and principal P. Selja Jayakumar.
School director S.S. Mahapatra explained the importance of this festival to the children. To do well in the exam, Mahapatra shared mantras for good health as well as time management. Also, the principal inspired the children to succeed in life. Chairman Satish Nair sent blessings to all the children on behalf of the management.
Teachers and staff had a snack with the children. The ceremony ended with the national anthem.
