Bokaro: Bhupinder Singh Popli has been posted as the new chief general manager (CGM) of Town and Administration (TA) in Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). It was after five months, the TA department of BSL got its full-fledged CGM. The post of CGM, TA department is very crucial as it deals with managing activities in the township. The Bokaro Township is having more than five lakh population.
Illegal occupancy in BSL quarters, rising encroachment on company lands, theft of water and electricity causing huge revenue loss, poor condition of roads in the township are few issues that need immediate attention. In absence of full-fledged CGM in TA, the development process was slow down.
The Organisation Development Section of Personnel Department of BSL on Wednesday evening issued a transfer and posting order of four CGM’s. Popli has been transferred from HRD to TA department. The CGM, Blast Furnace, Anjani Kumar has been posted as CGM, Iron.
CGM of PPC and SC department, Ajay Kumar was transferred and posted as CGM, Technical Cell. And, Anil Kumar, CGM of HRCF has been posted as CGM, PPC and SC, said sources. President of Bokaro Steel Officers Association (BOSA), A K Singh said that the full-fledged CGM in town services will certainly be beneficial in the organisation.
