Bokaro Engineering College hosts program on Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Rights


Bokaro: A two-session program on Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Rights recently concluded at Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus (GGSESTC), Engineering and Management College in Bokaro.

The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony to welcome the guests. The chief guest and speaker was Dr. Srinivas Murthy M.R., Chair Professor I.P.R. at the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi. He was joined by Kundan Upadhyay, State President of the Jharkhand Small and Tiny Business and Enterprise Association.

Dr. Murthy delivered a speech on the concept and significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), while Shri Upadhyay informed the audience about various government schemes. College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar emphasised the need for India to create its own intellectual property to achieve a leading global position.

The event included a question-and-answer session, refreshments, and was hosted by BBA student Sahiba Akram. Coordinator Prof. Dayashankar Diwakar extended his thanks to all involved.

The program concluded with the national anthem. It is worth noting that the college has become the first self-sustaining institution with 10 patents, thanks to the efforts of Electrical Engineering Professor Pankaj Rai and Computer Engineering Professor Hussain Ansari. College Institute President Mr. Tarsem Singh and Secretary Mr. Surendra Pal Singh congratulated the faculty on their achievements.
