An Australian-based multinational Orica, which is one of the world’s largest providers of commercial explosives, has filed an FIR against its Project and Engineering Manager Satyanarayan KR with IEL Police Station of the district pm Friday.
“The project manager is accused of selling the base design of the company’s new plant. The legal advisor of Orica’s subsidiary Indian Explosives Private Limited, Sangeet Bakshi, has filed a case against the project manager. The Orica Company has also immediately dismissed Satyanarayan KR,” said Ashish Kumar, officer incharge (OC) of IEL police station.
The world’s famous mining services company Orica has its unit in Gomia. This company manufactures detonators. The company had set up a Shock Tube plant here a few days ago. Project manager Satyanarayan was responsible for the maintenance and installation of this plant. But the manager Satyanarayan KR sold all the confidential information and designs of the shock tube plant to another company.
When the Orica company came to know about this, they made a written complaint to the IEL police station and filed a case, said OC. According to the complaint filed with IEL Police Station, accused Satyanarayan had sold the technical know-how, design and complete blue print of the shock tube Ideal Detonator to a company based in Secunderabad Telangana in 2016. But this matter has come to light now. Kumar said “investigation is being done after registering a case”.
The Orica Company’s shock tube is unique in the international market. The shock tube being made by this company has a different identity in India and abroad.
