Bokaro’s St. Xavier’s School excels in Class 12 board exams, Anushka Popli tops commerce


Bokaro: Anushka Kaur Popli, a student of St. Xavier’s School in Bokaro, achieved the top spot in the ISC 12th Commerce Faculty examination with a remarkable 94.75% overall. Her subject-wise marks were impressive, with scores of 96 in English, 97 in Economics, 95 in Commerce, 91 in Accounts, and 84 in Mathematics. Anushka’s ambitions extend beyond academics as she aims to serve the community as an IAS officer.

Time Management and Preparation 

Anushka attributes her success to effective time management and meticulous exam preparation, a skill she honed with guidance from her parents and teachers. Her father, B S Popli, serving as Executive Director (ED) in SAIL, and her mother, a teacher at St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro, offered unwavering support and encouragement. Anushka followed a structured study routine of four to five hours daily and also indulged in her passion for cooking.

Outstanding Achievements Across All Streams 

St. Xavier’s School experienced exceptional performances in the Class 12 ISC examinations for the 2023-2024 session across all streams. In the Science Faculty, Apoorva led with a stellar 97.5%, followed by Ishan Gupta with 93.75% and Ayush Kumar Jha with 93.25%.

Commerce Faculty Results 

In the Commerce Faculty, Anushka Kaur Popli topped with 94.75%, while Yash Kandulana took second place with 94.75% as well. Shruti Nayak secured third place with 92.5%, and Yashshvi Singh came in fourth with 92.25%.

Arts Faculty Performances 

Vedant Priyadarshi led the Arts Faculty with 90%, followed by Arundhati Chanda, who achieved 88.25% and secured second place.

Principal’s Praise 

Father Arun Minj, the school’s principal, applauded the students for their outstanding results and bright futures. He attributed their success to their hard work, focus, self-confidence, consistency, positivity, punctuality, continuous learning, and disciplined study habits. Father Minj commended the students for their dedication and perseverance, which led to such impressive achievements.
