Bokaro: The teams of executives and non-executives outsmarted participants of the other companies in the knowledge test conducted in the 34th National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2020 ). The convention was organised by QCFI, HQ , Hyderabad through Online Mode. The theme of the Convention for this year was: ‘Self – Reliant India through Quality Concepts’.
There were two components in this competition –Case Studies and Knowledge Test. 12 teams from Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) participated in this competition, out of which 8 teams have won Par Excellence Award (Gold) and 4 teams bagged Excellence Award (Silver). Case Study and Knowledge Test was compulsory for all teams. The only weightage allocated for each of them was different, said Manikant Dhan, spokesperson, BSL.
Business Excellence Department co-ordinated this event and facilitated the QC teams for participation in 34th NCQC, 2020. Among the recipients of Par Excellence Awards are QC-295 Mansarovar (Water Management), QC-1713 Achintya (SMS-2 & CCS), QC-701 Curiosity (Hot Strip Mill), LQC-02 Prabhat (CO & BPP), QC-1818 Prabhat (General Maintenance-Mechanical), QC-2013 Kalpataru (DNW), QC-252 Pragati (I&A) and QC 1626 (CR-Electricity).
LQC-01 (CRM-1,2), QC-2636 Vikash (OG), QC-404 Progressive (CBRS) and QC-1627 Sevanjali (CR-Vidyut) were awarded the Excellence Awards. The Director incharge of BSL, Amarendu Prakash, and other senior officers congratulated all the winning teams.
