CCL plans to produce 74 million tonnes of coal in FY 2021-22


Bokaro: Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) PM Prasad said that they are working on to achieve 74 million tonnes of coal production in the current financial year 2021-22. All the projects should contribute positively in achieving this goal, work is being done in this direction. He with his team on Sunday inspected Karo project of Bokaro and Kargili area of CCL under Bermo coalfield.

Prasad said the Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited (TVNL) owes a lot of money to CCL. Despite this, CCL sends one rake of coal every day to Tenughat Thermal Power Station (TTPS). The management of CCL does not want the power generation of TTPS to be stopped due to a lack of coal.

The Chairman gave several guidelines to the officials in order to overcome the obstacles in expanding Karo Mines. In order to ensure maximum coal production, he asked officials to encourage workers. Rains affected coal production and transportation. The rainy season is about to end. In addition, officials were asked to prepare a new strategy to speed up coal production.
