Covid-19 vaccination centres remain closed in Bokaro due to shortage of vaccines


Bokaro: The Covid-19 vaccination drive remained suspended on Thursday due to shortage of vaccines here. District health department has declared that the vaccination drive will begin only after fresh stock of vaccine will arrive from the state headquarter. Meanwhile seeing rise in number of coronavirus cases the health department has focused on increasing Covid-19 testing and installing containment zones to control the spread of virus.

On Thursday 18 containment zones were installed in various areas of the district. There were 23 containment zones set up on Wednesday. Meanwhile, mask checking has been intensified. Four new cells including of hospital management, testing, contact tracing and others have been formed to strengthen Covid management. However, residents are disappointed with the shortage of vaccines at a time when the coronavirus cases have increased in the district.
