Cultural Triumph at Art Utsav: Abhilasha Dey shines in Kathak dance


Bokaro: In a vibrant showcase of artistic talents, the Jharkhand Education Project organised the Art Utsav competition at the Community Hall in Chas. The event featured classical dance and various other art forms, bringing together 11 participants from 10 different schools. 

Abhilasha Dey, a Class XI student from Guru Gobind Singh Public School in Bokaro, stole the spotlight with her mesmerizing Kathak dance performance.  Abhilasha secured the first position at the district level, earning the honor of representing her district in Ranchi at the state level competition.

Expressing his appreciation, School Principal Soumen Chakraborty praised Abhilasha and her dedicated dance teacher, Ankita Chakraborty. He emphasised the importance of preserving the classical art form of Kathak, a cherished part of India’s rich cultural heritage.

GGES President Tarsem Singh and Secretary S. P. Singh extended their heartfelt congratulations, stressing the collective duty to safeguard the art, culture, and heritage of the nation. They urged everyone to contribute to the preservation and promotion of our cultural legacy.

Abhilasha’s remarkable achievement inspired every teacher at the school, who are eager to see her continue to excel in her artistic journey.
