Bokaro: In a commendable initiative, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd. (DBL), a prominent cement company, organised a blood donation camp. The event, conducted in collaboration with the Red Cross Society Blood Bank Bokaro, at the Primary Health Center situated within the plant premises.
The inauguration of the camp was marked by Priya Ranjan, Deputy Executive Director, and Unit Head of Dalmia Cement (JCW), Bokaro. Ranjan not only cut the ribbon to formally open the camp but also led by example, donating blood himself. In his address, he emphasised the altruistic nature of blood donation, acknowledging its potential to save numerous lives. Expressing gratitude, he thanked the blood donors who actively participated in the camp.
Dr. U Mohanty from the Red Cross Society Blood Bank conveyed appreciation to Dalmia Cement Bokaro and all the blood donors for their efforts in organising the camp. He expressed a commitment to be prepared in the future to fulfill all types of blood-related needs that may arise. The camp proved successful, with a total of 52 units of blood collected, each unit contributing to the noble cause.
The collected blood was handed over to the representative of the Red Cross Society Blood Bank, ensuring its proper storage and availability for those in need. The participants in the camp, including the donors, expressed immense satisfaction with the organisation of such a crucial initiative.
The event saw the presence of key figures in the healthcare and management sector, including Dr. U Mohanty and Ranjan Kumar from the Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Lab Technician Miss Mujeeba Khanum, Counselor Sachin Kumar, Vikas Kumar, and Dr. Santosh Kumar from the Primary Health Center at Dalmia Cement Bokaro.
