Bokaro: In an effort to instill a sense of social responsibility and the importance of giving back to society, DPS Bokaro recently observed the ‘Joy of Giving’ programme. This initiative aimed to connect students with the community and encourage them to bring smiles to the faces of others. 
It was a day of camaraderie and compassion as students from DPS Bokaro joined hands with ‘Deepansh,’ a Shiksha Kendra run under the aegis of DPS Bokaro that caters to the children of the marginalized sections of society.
The school premises were abuzz with various activities that promoted friendship and bonding. They shared moments of joy, played games and even had a friendly game of antakshari.
Together, they created art, enjoyed songs, dance performances, and showcased their talents on stage, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness. As a gesture of goodwill, students from DPS Bokaro presented gifts to the students of ‘Deepansh’.
Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, emphasised the significance of the ‘Joy of Giving’ celebration, stating, “It is our humble attempt to help children realise the importance of sharing. Giving happiness and complements the process of learning, instilling social commitment as an essential aspect of one’s life. Developing empathy and human sensibilities is crucial in nurturing responsible citizens and good human beings.”
