Naina Sareen, now a rising star in the Indian film industry, hails from the industrial town of Bokaro in East India. Her father, Surendra Kumar Sareen, worked as an officer in the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in the Steel Melting Shop (SMS)-2 department, and retired a few years ago after a distinguished career. Even after retirement, her parents, Surendra Sareen and Neeta Sareen, continue to reside in Bokaro, where Naina spent her formative years. Born and raised in an environment where pursuing a career in the performing arts seemed like a distant dream, Naina’s unwavering passion for acting ignited at the tender age of 12.

Driven by a profound love for acting, Naina made the bold decision to enroll in the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). This move was pivotal, as her education and experiences at FTII solidified her commitment to the craft of acting. Reflecting on this period, Naina says, “Film school was a turning point. The response from my mentors and peers validated my choice, and I knew I had to pursue this path.”

Breaking into the Film Industry

Post-graduation, Naina moved to Mumbai, the heart of India’s film industry, three years ago.
