At DPS Bokaro, students actively participated in cleaning activities and presented bouquets to hygiene staff, fostering a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness. They also formed a human chain, performed a street play, and planted saplings as part of their commitment to a cleaner environment. Similarly, Chinmaya Vidyalaya students celebrated Swachhata Diwas with colorful programs, emphasising Mahatma Gandhi’s values of truth and non-violence. Both schools highlighted the importance of cleanliness as a fundamental lifestyle choice and its role in creating a healthier society.
DPS: Spreading Cleanliness Message

Earlier, various events were held under the campaign slogan ‘Cleanliness in Habit, Cleanliness in Conduct,’ including morning rallies, skits, slogan writing, debates, painting activities, and classroom cleaning. Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar said “a clean and healthy mind thrives in a clean body, advocating for cleanliness as a fundamental lifestyle choice to build a healthier society.”
Chinmaya Vidyalaya Celebrates Swachhata Diwas
On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, students from the primary wing of Chinmaya Vidyalaya organised a Swachhata Diwas to honor Mahatma Gandhi. Rashmi Shukla, Assistant Academic Supervisor, highlighted Gandhi’s invaluable contributions to the nation, emphasising the importance of cleanliness in his teachings.
In a prayer meeting for the senior classes, Principal Suraj Sharma and Vice Principal Narmendra Kumar paid tribute to Gandhi by offering flowers to his portrait.
