Bokaro: Police have arrested a fraudster who allegedly used to steal cash withdrawing it from bank ATM’s by using an iron leaf. The arrested youth Suryadev Rana is a resident of Tetulmari, Dhanbad. His other associate managed to flee from the spot. Police investigation revealed that the duo used to block the machine by inserting iron leaf at the ATM withdrawal point. Due to this, the customers’ could able not be withdraw their money and after completing the transaction they left the ATM counter. The duo later removes the iron plate, following which cash comes out of the last transaction done by the customer, that they take it away.
In Chas, the accused was nabbed due to the intelligence of the caretaker of an ATM of PNB and the activeness of the police. It is being told that on the complaint of non-withdrawal of money from PNB ATM located at Golden Plaza, Chas, the caretaker Samar Kumar Mahatha reached the spot. When he went inside the ATM, he saw that the cap of the withdrawal point of the machine broken. An iron leaf was inserted inside it. He took it out. On suspicion, Samar interrogated the youths present on the spot, but both of them expressed their ignorance. After this, both the youths left the ATM.
Samar acted smartly, he first informed police, and then started chasing them. Later, both the accused went inside another ATM of HDFC Bank and did the same act there. Samar who was keeping his eye immediately tried to shut down the shutter of the ATM, but both of them started running. Meanwhile, police station in-charge of Chas police station Rampravesh Kumar, along with Sub Inspector Rajesh Kumar Dangi and Rameshwar Verma reached the spot and nabbed one of them.
