Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Public School (GGPS), Bokaro, under the leadership of Principal Soumen Chakraborty, successfully conducted a live fire safety drill and training session. This event aimed to enhance fire safety awareness and preparedness among the school community.
Expert Guidance from CISF
The session was facilitated by the Bokaro Fire Unit of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), with Prakash Kumar Mishra, Inspector, and his support team serving as the Guests of Honour. Their expert guidance was instrumental in delivering both informative and practical training.
Active Participation and Practical Learning
Vice Principal Suman Nangia, Senior Section Incharge G.K. Mishra, along with teachers and students, actively participated in the event. They engaged in discussions and practical demonstrations, significantly enhancing their knowledge about maintaining safety in their surroundings. The experts provided crucial updates on safety rules applicable both in school and at home, ensuring attendees left with a heightened sense of responsibility and preparedness.
Detailed Training on Fire Safety
The training included detailed explanations of safety rules, types of fires, and methods of extinguishing them using different types of fire extinguishers (A, B, C, D). Topics covered included evacuation plans, use of fire extinguishers, regular drills, alarm systems, emergency exits, electrical safety, first aid training, awareness programs, safe storage, and communication.
Enhancing Safety Culture
Fire safety drills and seminars have significantly contributed to the overall safety culture at GGPS Bokaro, equipping the school community with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle fire-related emergencies effectively.
