Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus (GGSESTC) in Bokaro has initiated a 21-day induction program for newly admitted students, following AICTE New Delhi’s directives. As part of this program, the college’s NSS unit organised a vibrant National Sports Day on August 31, 2024.
Cricket and Badminton Competitions Highlight the Event
The event saw intense competition, with the B. Tech. – CSE Final Year team, led by Captain Kunal, emerging victorious in cricket. The B. Tech. 1st Year CSE team, under Captain Suraj Kumar, secured the runner-up position. In badminton, Prachi from B. Tech. (EEE) Final Year claimed the first position, followed by Anshu Mishra from B. Tech. 1st Year CSE and Simran Kumari from CSE Final Year, who secured second and third places, respectively.
College Leadership Commends Participants
The event was coordinated by Prof. Sumit Pandey and Sports Teacher Kumar Rishabh, with significant contributions from Prof. Mukesh Sinha, Prof. Alok Kumar, Prof. Jaideep Sen, A.P. Barnwal, and Anand Jaiswal. College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar emphasised the institution’s commitment to promoting sports alongside academics and placements.
He highlighted the recent construction of an international standard badminton court by Yunex Company on campus. Institute Chairman Shri Tarsem Singh, Shri Surendra Pal Singh, and Dr. Jaruhar extended their congratulations to the participants.
