Bokaro: In a pivotal moment for the steel sector, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has greenlit the proposal put forth by the Ministry of Steel for the appointment of Birendra Kumar Tiwari as the Director-in-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), under the aegis of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

Birendra Kumar Tiwari, currently serving as the Executive Director (Works) at BSL, is set to take charge in his new capacity. The appointment, effective from the date he assumes office until the date of his superannuation on August 31, 2025, or until further directives are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
This appointment is anticipated to further strengthen the operational and strategic capabilities of the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), contributing to the nation’s industrial progress and reinforcing SAIL’s position as a frontrunner in the steel domain.
This decision underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering the leadership of key sectors, particularly in the steel industry, which plays a pivotal role in India’s economic growth and infrastructure development.
