Bokaro is all set to become the state’s biggest industrial hub in the near future. As the city is going to be a part of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. The Government of India is taking a big decision to establish Bokaro as a manufacturing hub. An industrial corridor will be developed on 1,000 acres of land owned by Steel Authority of India (SAIL) located in Bokaro.
This task has been assigned to a six-member committee by the state government. The committee is working on a plan of industrial cluster. A proposal is being prepared under the Kolkata-Amritsar Industrial Corridor Development Project. Sources said, the Industry Department of Jharkhand will soon hold a meeting with the officials of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in this regard. The nature of the industrial area will also be decided in the meeting.
Most likely the plan is that Bokaro Steel will hand over its encroached land to the State Industries Department. The members of the committee will check the site and send the proposal to the state government. It is mentioned that after the developed states like Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand is going to be a part of Kolkata-Amritsar Industrial Corridor Development Project.
