Bokaro: The state Bank of India (SBI) on Wednesday evacuated a house in Chas, Bhagwati Colony after its owner failed to pay Rs 6 crores loan taken from bank after mortgaging the property. The drive was conducted on the instructions of SDO, Chas Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat with deployment of the magistrate and police force.
The property belongs to Pawan Kumar Ghiraya’s which was sealed by SBI in 2015. SBI team along with magistrate remove all the goods from the house. SBI, Chief Manager, Dilip Kumar Pathak said that the house was sealed in 2015 after Pawan Kumar Ghiraya became a defaulter in 2014.
“Ghiraya was asked several times to remove the goods, but it goes unheard. Today on instructions of the SDO, all the items have been removed from the house and kept in the dumping yard of the bank. After vacating the house, its possession was given to the person who took the house in auction,” said chief manager.
