Bokaro: Two days before polling, Independent candidate Sameer Kumar alias Sameer Kumar Das (Deed Writer) announced his support to BJP candidate Yogeshwar Mahto in Bermo assembly by-election here on Sunday. There are 16 candidates are in the fray. The voting is going to be held on November, 03. However Congress party took the support offered by independent candidate to BJP very lightly.
Das is a deed writer by profession and has been campaigning vigorously after filing nomination. Das said in view of the present situation of Jharkhand he offers his unconditional support to BJP candidate, Yogeshwar Mahto. Das made the announcement of his support to BJP in presence of Jharkhand Pradesh General Secretary Pradeep Verma, Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan, Baghmara MLA Dhullu Mahato. Das also appealed residents to vote for BJP.
Congress working president of state, Rajesh Thakur said that BJP has assessed its defeat in the bypoll and thus taking support of independent candidates in fear. Congress take this support-taking event of BJP very lightly. BJP earlier took support of AJSU-P against which it fought general assembly election in 2019 and now taking support of independent candidate.
