ISKCON’s young scientist sparks change at Bokaro Engineering College with ‘Mobile and Meditation’ talk

Bokaro: As part of the 21-day induction program for newly admitted students at Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, Engineering and Management College, a special session was held today featuring ISKCON’s young scientist, Akash Sharma. The session focused on the theme ‘Mobile and Meditation’ and included the distribution of Bhagavad Gita copies published by ISKCON Institute.

Sharma delivered spiritual insights on how to harmonise mobile usage with meditation practices, aiming to enhance students’ mindfulness and character development. Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, the College Director, emphasised that such programs contribute to students’ happiness, promote mutual brotherhood, and protect against mobile misuse.

The session, led by first-year Civil Engineering student Ashi Kumari Singh, was coordinated by Dr. Bikash Ghoshal and Dr. A.P. Barnwal. Society President Tarsem Singh and Secretary Surendra Pal Singh congratulated the students for their participation in this motivational event.

This initiative successfully merged spiritual guidance with practical advice, creating an inspiring and supportive environment for the students.
