Union Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh on Friday stated that the control of the Raw Material Division (RMD) mines is transferred to Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha and Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in Jharkhand depending on their location.
Steel minister also stated that dissolution of RMD headquarters of state-owned Steel Authority of India (SAIL) in Kolkata is complete and there is no scope of revision, putting an end to hopes of a reversal of the decision as sought by the West Bengal government.
The steel major is likely to save around Rs 40 crore a year courtesy of the move. Steel minister visited Durga Steel Plant (DSP) in West Bengal. Steel minister reviewed performance of DSP, ASP and ISP. He tweeted – “Had an insightful and fruitful interaction with representatives of various unions and Officer’s Association of DSP and ASP”.
BGH completes its surveillance audit of ISO 9001
Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) underwent a two-day First Surveillance Audit of ISO 9001:2015 QMS (Quality Management System). Auditors from Kolkata, senior doctors of different departments in BGH, and business excellence officers were all connected online. Online audit was successfully done in various sections Management System Function , Blood Bank , Pathology , Nursing Ward , Housekeeping , Laundry , Canteen , ICU , NICU , Imaging , Customer Complaint , Reception , Burn Unit , OHS etc. CMO (Medical and Health Services) Dr. Pankaj Sharma thanked the auditors and assured them to implement the points suggested by them. DCMO (Medical and Health Services) Dr. Tripti Chandra and General Manager (BE) B Banerjee assisted in the audit.
ST-SC federation meets GM, BSL
The SAIL SC – ST Employees Federation (Bokaro Steel Plant) met Sanjeev Sharan Singh, General Manager, Personnel (Operations) of the plant on Friday and discussed the problems faced by SC – ST employees. Shambhu Kumar, president of the Federation, said they discussed issues relating to ST-SC employees with the general manager. He promised to contact the heads of the different departments to resolve the issues.
