Director incharge celebrated raksha bandhan spiritually
Raksha Bandhan celebrations were held at the Brahma Kumari’s district centre in Sector-4 in Bokaro on Sunday, with sisters tied rakhi to Director Incharge of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), Amarendu Prakash. Visiting the centre in the evening, D/IC thanked the Brahma Kumari sisters for tying a rakhi. He said this age old tradition of tying rakhi is a sign of the ‘vow’ of purity taken by all human beings (souls), a vow made to God Shiva that we shall remain pure for our entire life. Signifying this, the sister prays for wellness and betterment of her brother.
Union steel minister ties rakhi to trees
During Rakshabandhan, the steel minister RCP Singh tied Rakhi to a tree. He said “To make Rakshabandhan memorable, show gratitude to Mother Earth by tying a protective thread (Rakhi) to the trees. There is water, there is greenery, and there is life. Make the Jal Jeevan Hariyali program a success”.
BSL to hire consultant for “Safety Transformation Culture”
The Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) is preparing to hire a consultant to strengthen safety practices at the plant. Director incharge of BSL, Amarendu Prakash said that by focusing on production inside the plant, they are also determined to keep shops accident free. There is an awareness campaign for safety. This month, they will appoint a safety consultant for “Safety Transformation Culture”. It is mentioned that, in the last 10 months, four employees and contract workers have died in separate incidents while eight employees were seriously injured in minor incidents inside BSL plant. Five of these incidents happened in July and August.
