Bokaro: A team of two people from the SAIL-Bokaro steel plant seems to be unstoppable when it comes to Business Quiz. The team of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) won one of India’s most prestigious business quizzes.
Once again, they won the Jigyaasa Business Quiz organized by Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta under the banner of Lattice Business Conclave 2021-22. TCS Hyderabad was runner-up.
A preliminary round of the Quiz was held online on 26.02.2022 in which 694 teams from corporates and management institutions across India participated, informed Manikant Dhan, BSL spokesperson.
A total of eight teams were selected and the grand finale was held at the campus of IIM Calcutta, Joka, on 12.03.2022. Many other corporates and institutions participated in the finals, including IIM Calcutta and IIM Kozhikode.
Unlike previous years, Lattice was bigger and better than ever. The theme for this year is “Reinventing India: Innovative, Entrepreneurial, Sustainable”, with a focus on Innovative solutions driven by technology and the entrepreneurial mindset to drive sustainable businesses and realize India’s 2030 vision.
BSL executive, Anand Raj, has won several accolades in quiz competitions before. On October, 2021, he won the country’s most prestigious Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2021. It was the first time any employee of Maharatna Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) had won the prestigious Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz award.
Anand Raj joined SAIL in 2010 as a Management Technical Trainee (MTT). He currently works as senior manager (Technical) at Executive Director (Works) Office.
