Bokaro: The Sree Ayyappa Public School commemorated its 35th Foundation Day in a magnificent manner, with a day filled with festivities and joy. The event commenced in the morning with the presence of esteemed dignitaries of SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant, and board members of the school.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the recitation of shlokas, followed by a melodious welcome song.
The highlight of the Foundation Day celebration was the ceremonial cake cutting, accompanied by the release of the school magazine. The Principal, P. Shailaja Jayakumar, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, emphasising that the Foundation Day is a time for the entire school to come together and celebrate not only the occasion but also the achievements of the students in the past years.
The students enthralled the audience with a mesmerizing classical dance performance on Ganesh Vandana, creating a divine ambiance. S. S. Mahapatra, the Director of the school, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the success of every student is a testament to the collective efforts of the students, parents, Management Committee, and faculty members. He expressed his congratulations to all the achievers and praised their remarkable accomplishments.
P. Rajagopal, the Chairman, spoke on the significance of the Foundation Day celebration, considering it a moment of pride and honor for the school. He congratulated all the achievers and commended the efforts of both parents and teachers.
The meritorious students from grades I to XII were presented with certificates, mementos, T-shirts, and school badges in recognition of their academic excellence. Additionally, students who excelled in various competitive exams were acknowledged with wristwatches, scientific calculators, and certificates.
The Foundation Day celebrations culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Rajalakshmi, the Vice Principal. In the evening, a special alumni meet was organized for the recently passed out 12th-grade students. During the event, the alumni shared their experiences of studying at Sree Ayyappa Public School.
Faculty members also addressed the students, providing them with success mantras for their future endeavors. S. S. Mahapatra, the Director, enlightened the students about the opportunities and prospects available in different fields, while P. Shailaja Jayakumar, the Principal, encouraged them to work diligently to achieve their life’s goals.
Earlier in the day, the Nursery Block was inaugurated by the Management Committee, marking another significant milestone for the school.
