Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School of Bokaro on Friday organised an Inter-House Spelling Competition, which was a huge success. The competition was organised in two sessions, with the first sessions for classes 1 and 2, and the second session for classes 3 to 5.
The participants were pre-selected within their class and were divided into different teams from the six houses present in the school.
The competition was divided into several rounds, including Riddle Round, Name the Pictures, Supply the Missing Letter, Word Round, Word Building Round, Think and Spell, Breaking Muddle, New Word Game, Riddle, Rapid Fire Flash Card, Audio Visual, and Who Am I round. The winners were selected based on the total count of each round.
In the class 1 and 2 group, Periyar House 1st emerged as the winners, while in the class 3 to 5 group, Yamuna House I was declared the winners, followed by Kaveri House II and Ganga House III.
The chairman of the school, P. Rajagopal, congratulated the students and encouraged them to expand their knowledge of the English language. The director of the school, Dr. S. Mohapatra, emphasised the importance of participating enthusiastically. School Principal P. Shailaja Jayakumar motivated students to increase their vocabulary.
The students who participated in the competition were awarded certificates at the end of the program. The event was successful due to the enthusiastic participation of the students and the support of the teachers and staff of the school.
