Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has achieved exceptional production and sales figures in the first quarter (Q1 FY24) of the financial year 2023-24.
The company’s production of hot metal, crude steel, and saleable steel reached new heights, recording 5.037 million tonnes, 4.667 million tonnes, and 4.405 million tonnes, respectively. These figures set a new benchmark for all previous first quarters, highlighting SAIL’s outstanding performance.
The production numbers witnessed an impressive growth rate, with a substantial increase of 7%, 8%, and 8% for hot metal, crude steel, and saleable steel, respectively, compared to the previous best Q1.
This notable surge in production clearly demonstrates SAIL’s unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and optimizing its capabilities.
Furthermore, SAIL has also achieved an extraordinary sales performance in the first quarter, with a staggering 3.9 million tonnes sold. This outstanding sales figure represents a remarkable growth of nearly 24% compared to the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.
