DPS Bokaro Marks Teachers’ Day with Joyous Cultural Celebrations
DPS Bokaro celebrated Teachers’ Day on Thursday with lively festivities, honoring the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The event kicked off with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp and floral tributes led by Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar. Students expressed their gratitude through a range of cultural performances, including an orchestra featuring guitars, violins, and drums. A vibrant group dance depicted the famous story of Dronacharya and Eklavya, symbolising the dedication students show to their teachers. A group song, ‘Guruvar Tumhen Koti Naman’, resonated throughout the event, adding an emotional touch. Class XII students creatively took on the roles of their teachers for the day, while the Primary Wing held a special assembly.
Principal Dr. Gangwar, in his speech, emphasised the vital role of teachers in shaping young minds and building the nation’s future. The day ended with a special cultural program where teachers participated in singing, dancing, and engaging activities.
Chinmaya Vidyalaya Celebrates Guru Utsav with Festive Spirit 
At Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Teachers’ Day was celebrated with a special Guru Utsav event held at the Saptarishi Auditorium. The celebration saw Chief Guest Acharya Swamini Sanyuktananda Saraswati, along with school officials, gracing the occasion. Students enacted the traditional Guru-disciple relationship through dramatisations of stories like Dronacharya and Eklavya and Krishna and Arjuna. The day’s activities included Class XII students taking on teaching roles for the younger classes, making the celebration both educational and fun.
