The highest honour should be bestowed upon teachers in every society, 36 teachers recieve the ‘Best Teacher Award’


Bokaro: 36 teachers from different schools received the Guru Vashishtha Best Teacher Award 2022 organised at Pentecostal Assembly School on Saturday. Each of the 37 public schools in the district nominates a teacher for this award.  The award ceremony recognized the dedication, labour of love of every teacher who has dedicated themselves to the cause of education.

The event was held under the aegis of Dr. Radha Krishnan Sahodaya School Complex, a community of CBSE affiliated schools in the district that works in close collaboration. The Chief Guest was the director incharge of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) Amarendu Prakash. And, Sanjay Kumar, Executive Director, Personnel and Administration graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Prakash emphasized the impact that a teacher can have on the life of a student. He said “the teacher molds the character of a child and inspires them to reach their highest potential. The highest honour should be bestowed upon teachers in every society”. Prakash stressed ‘honesty and dedication’ as the two principles of life that should guide our lives.

President of the Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex and Principal of Delhi Public School, Bokaro  A.S. Gangwar, addressed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to teachers who build nations.

 A beautiful song – ‘Shiksha Ke Deep’, while a choreography highlighting the role of teachers in building the lives of students was also presented. In the 75th year of our independence, a dance presentation on an Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav made by the students bagged applause.

Principal, The Pentecostal Assembly School, Karuna Prasad warmly welcomed all the dignitaries. The dignitaries included Shaila Sinha (Vice President, Bokaro Mahila Samiti), A. S. Gangwar (President & Principal of Delhi Public School, Sec-4), Soumen Chakraborty (Vice-President & Principal of GGPS, Sec-5), Biswajit Patra (General Secretary & Principal of ARS Public School), Uma Shankar Singh (Jt. Secretary & Principal of GGPS, Chas), Fr. Reji C Varghese (Treasurer & Principal of MGM Higher Secondary School) and Rita Prasad (Chief Academic Officer, The Pentecostal Assembly School)

General Secretary of Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro and Principal ARS Public School, Biswajit Patra, gave the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the patriotic notes of our national anthem.
